Goalkeeper Kim Jung-ho (25) of the professional soccer K League 1 Gangwon FC was found to have been driving under the influence of alcohol.

In response, the club has officially apologized.

"We would like to inform you that Kim Jung-ho was found to have been driving drunk on the morning of the 11th," the club said on its official SNS on the 13th.

"(Gangwon) immediately notified the Korea Professional Football Association after confirming the fact of Kim's drunk driving, and the league is considering measures in accordance with the K League regulations," the club added.

"The club will handle the case as soon as the investigation by the relevant authorities is completed and in accordance with the regulations," the statement continued.

"All members of the club are deeply remorseful that such an unfortunate incident occurred, regardless of the reason, at such a critical time ahead of the final round, and we would like to express our deepest apologies to our fans," the apology continued. 카지노사이트

"We will do our best to prevent such incidents from happening again by strengthening the education of all members of the organization."

This is the third drunk driving case in the K League this season. Previously, Jonatan of FC Anyang in the K League 2 and Ras of Suwon FC in the K League 1 were released for drunk driving.

Kim was born in 1998 and graduated from Kaesong High School before joining Gangwon in 2021 after playing for Busan Ice Park. He appeared in a total of nine games in Gangwon's uniform.

However, he hasn't played this season and has 15 career appearances in the K League. Therefore, Kim's departure is not a major loss for Gangwon.
